About the Event

Join Green Spring Gardens site historian, Deborah Waugh, for an intriguing lecture on the history of Scotland's role in the tea industry, followed by full afternoon tea service in the 1784 Historic House.

Tea is regarded as England’s quintessential drink, but Scots played important roles in tea-drinking history. Travel north of the border to explore Scottish afternoon tea and what it reveals about the country’s culture and traditions. Along with our regular tea menu enjoy some delicious Scottish fare!

Lecture followed by a full Scottish-themed afternoon tea service, including finger sandwiches, savories, cakes/pastries, and scone with cream and jam.
